01 · The map

Filled tiles have verified numbers on this site. The rest link to the state agency’s own regulations page, so you are never sent to a dead end.

02 · How a limit page works

Cast. Count. Measure. Verify.

  1. Pick the water

Statewide rules are the default. A single lake can carry its own exception, and we say so.

  2. Read the bag

Texas: 5 bass a day, counted together with smallmouth, Alabama, Guadalupe and spotted bass.

  3. Measure the fish

Statewide Texas minimum length for largemouth bass: 14 inches. Under that, it goes back.

  4. Check the date

Every page cites the agency and shows the day we last read it: 2026-10-23.

07 · How we keep it honest

No source, no number.

Every number on a data page comes from an official state wildlife agency page or regulation booklet, is restated in our own words, and shows the source link and the date we last checked it. If we could not confirm something, we say “check source” or leave it out. Read the methodology.

Verify with your state agency. FishLimit is independent and is not a legal source of regulations.
